Appointments
We know you have many choices when choosing a dentist in Atlanta so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site. If, for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible.

Insurance and Billing
We accept all traditional dental insurance plans. We require that you pay only your deductible and estimated co-payments at the time services are provided. We will file your claims for you to obtain payments from the insurance company. Dr. Kerr is not a "participating provider" on any PPO plans. However, you can still be a patient here because such plans typically entitle you to choose any dentist you wish, although your out-of-pocket expenses will be somewhat higher if you go out of network. Dr. Kerr does not participate in any dental HMO plans.

Facilites and Equipment

  • Intra-Oral Camera
One of the first pieces of technology which you will experience here will be the intra-oral camera. You will be able to view enlarged photographs of your teeth, thereby seeing the same things that we see and gaining a better understanding of what your hygienist and doctor are discussing with you!

  • Digital Radiography
We use digital radiography for your cavity-screening x-rays and panoramic x-rays. With this technology, radiation exposure is just 30% of traditional film x-rays! You will be able to see your enlarged x-rays on the computer monitors in the treatment rooms. Also, since the images are digital, they can be printed on photo-quality paper should you need a referral to a specialist.

  • CEREC
This equipment uses infra-red imaging and computer assisted design/computer assisted milling (CAD/CAM) technology to fabricate porcelain inlays and onlays in a single appointment. No impressions to send to the dental lab! No temporary restorations! No second appointment!

  • Caesy
This is the premier patient education system in dentistry. You can view modules about any dental subject pertinent to your care to become a better-informed patient!

  • Air Abrasion
Small cavity? No problem! The air abrasion equipment is utilized to eliminate the decay and a white filling is bonded in the defect. No anesthetic and no drilling!

  • Diagno-Dent
This remarkable diagnostic instrument uses a small, weak laser beam to detect cavities below the surface before they have a chance to destroy more tooth structre. In conjunction with Air Abrasion, we are performing what is know as "micro-dentistry"!

  • Diode Laser
A little too much gum tissue here or there? Simply trim with this laser for a healthier, more esthetic contour. No bleeding!

  • The "Wand"
No more big scary syringes! This light-weight, computer-assisted anesthetic delivery system makes for much easier numbing!

  • Nitrous Oxide
Yes, we provide "happy gas" for our patients who are a little on edge! Plus, we provide radio and CD head-sets to help you to relax while you are here.

  • Sterilization
All instruments are heat/stream/pressure sterilized before use in equipment that is regularly monitored for effectiveness by Emory University.
